This is a decent place for a nice sit down and be served meal near the Intuit Dome. Though the acoustics are a little loud, the ambiance is excellent. I’ve been wanting to try it out as they seem the be one of the closest to the arena and the walk is short, literally shorter than either the east or west parking lots. I also wanted to find out IF, I valet’d and dined there, would I be able to leave my car for the duration of the game/event. This restaurant is attached to the Lum Hotel. I believe the valet fee is $20, but if you leave the car, they charge you $55, the same as the overnight parking fee for the hotel. Parking is EXTREMELY limited. I also spoke with the serve staff, they’ve said that they will tow, even if you’re staff. 😒
Let’s move on to the food. Here’s why I gave it 3 stars instead of 4. While definitely better than the McDonalds within similar walking distance down Century, I’m don’t think it’s worth the price. For two of us, without alcoholic beverages, our total was $70 before tax & tip. We ordered the charred corn rib as an appetizer. There were 5 “ribs”, each rib consisted of about 3 rows of corn, all together the entire appetizer amounted to an ear of corn. I could probably live with that but it wasn’t sweet, it wasn’t smoky, the kernels were mushy, not crisp and fresh. The aioli was flavorful and had a little bit of a kick to it. I am positive this would be a good dish if the corn was fresher and sweeter. The entree menu is small, there are 7 dishes to choose from. For my main I wanted the Country Fried Steak. As soon as I ordered it, our server told me that they were out at 5:30 on a Friday. 5:30? Isn’t this the beginning of your weekend rush? So instead I settled for the fish & chips which consisted of 4 fish stick sized pieces of battered cod on a bed of stale waffle fries. My friend ordered the Truffle Mushroom flatbread. It was amply sized for a dinner portion. It was flavorful and had a good amount of truffle.
