Cork & Flame can trace its history back to 2004 when Roger Strohl opened The Vineyard Wine Market. After a successful 13 years, The Vineyard has joined forces with Chef Justin Hayes and partners to form a unique combination of fine dining, tapas and wine market, offering customers a single culinary experience. In addition to the fine dining, tapas and wine market, the Cork and Flame hosts wine tastings, wine dinners, and private party events.

Greeted with champagne. Food fantastic. I had lobster bisque and the scallops with corn. Best meal I’ve had in past year. My husband had the hoppin johns which was unexpectedly really good. He had the salmon entree with mushrooms- also fantastic. Service after seated was very slow to get started but then significantly improved after 20 min of waiting for initial cocktails. We will be back soon! 😋

I have dined here many times but they were off their game last night. However, the manager was quite accommodating so we will likely return.

C&F is our favorite restaurant. Period. We have eaten is some of the finest restaurants in London, DC, Vegas, etc and I would put Chef Justin’s creations up against any of them. Truly OUTSTANDING each and every time!

Cork and flame is consistently good. I love going after I haven’t been in a few months. The menu changes. The experience changes. It absolutely wonderful. The food is always a 10/10.

Cork and Flame used to be a consistent, high quality, fine dining experience. The meals would be perfectly prepared. The waitstaff would guide the table through the menu and their food options. The atmosphere was one of enjoyment for the dining experience. I’ve experienced it degrade into mediocrity over the last year with only the same expensive bill being consistent. It has become a restaurant I won’t return except for the wine market. On this visit, there were several things wrong with our plates: undercooked meat, poor presentation, underwhelming dishes. All these concerns should not be the case for a fixed menu for an event where those cooking are preparing a limited selection menu. The primary waitstaff did not attend to our table for prolonged periods of time, and when they did, very little explanation of the menu or wine pairing menu was given. The sommelier was the only waitstaff that knew what she was doing. The atmosphere was poor, loud, and obnoxious. I noticed the restaurant was not upholding their own business casual dress code. First thing I noticed were all the customers in jeans. I’ve dined at a three star Michelin restaurant. Cork and Flame is not even aspiring for those qualities anymore. For the amount of money paid, the value and quality of the experience is not worth it and disappointing.

Food is always excellent. Service is on point 4 out of 5 times. Ambiance goes well with the price of the meals. A must try!
