   We loved every dish we ordered! Fresh ingredients were celebrated throughout the menu with a compelling balance of flavors that kept you wanting more. Go with friends/family who love sharing food.

   Small relatively comfortable restaurant. There were a few glitches noted upon arriving, including not immediately recognizing our reservation, seating us at a table then having to move as the table was being saved for another party, and eventually receiving our bill with an entree listed that we never ordered. Overall quality of the food was very good, and service was attentive. However, the menu setup is very poor, and a “recipe” for unhappy patrons. Basically, all choices are listed under one column of choice….both items that one would consider as an appetizer, as well as something one might consider more of a traditional entree. Perhaps price could serve as a distinguishing marker, but why leave that to chance? As an example. My wife ordered the “corn chowder” soup, listed literally above another item that was more costly and seemed like it might be an entree. The size of the soup was small, and was priced at 19 dollars…which after tax and tip was about 25 dollars for a small cup of soup. It was good, but certainly not worth that, and more importantly was not anything close to an entree. It would be fairly simple to creat a column of items that are clearly meant as starters, whatever the price, and perhaps another column of items that might be considered Tapas. Lastly, a column for full entrees should be listed. This should be a priority of the current ownership. Restaurants are very expensive today, and the bar is high to satisfy patrons with small cups of 19 dollar soups and 20 dollar drinks. The current system at Costa by Madrid is setting themselves up for failure, which is not inevitable given the inventive menu and apparent high quality of the food. The difference between making it or not is small….

   The flavors for everything we had were different from the usual. The beef carpaccio tostada was a favorite of everyone at the table. The sides were delicious - best asparagus I’ve ever eaten and the roasted chickpeas were another favorite. Our server was friendly and attentive - there when we needed her but she didn’t hover. I’ll go again!

   Service was great and cocktails were good. Salad and tostada were over salted, hamachi was a little fishy for ceviche, and the empanadas were just not good. The food was overall ok but way overpriced.

   Costa is relatively new to Sedona, and it was a great experience for my wife and I. The staff was welcoming and very helpful providing guidance. They offer a nice Latin inspired menu and the food was awesome! We split the mixed seafood ceviche as our starter then split the pollo borracho and Cuban rice with back beans. Really tasty all around. Highly recommend this spot.

    We had a wonderful all around dining experience from the moment we walked in and were given a choice of tables to choose from (for our party of 4). All of the staff were super friendly and our waitress did a great job of explaining different items on the menu and getting us to order just the exact amount of food so that we did not over order. We had 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 2 desserts and every single item had a beautiful presentation and tasted just as good. I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu- what a wonderful surprise to fine in beautiful Sedona.
