Take a seat at our signature French-inspired bistro, Couvant, housed in the former Peychaud Cocktail Bitters factory. Here, French techniques play on the roots of New Orleans cuisine using fresh, local ingredients.

New Orleans is renowned for its French cuisine, and you won’t have to leave the confines of The Eliza Jane to enjoy delicious fare within a French bistro.

Couvant specializes in classic French cooking serving entrees that pay homage to French history and regional specialties. Never pretentious, the dishes and service at Couvant are purposefully simple and social. Nestle into an intimate dining room banquette. We were extremely happy with our breakfast at Couvant. The drinks were great and the food and service were excellent! This will be our new breakfast spot to go to before the Saints games.

Went there for my birthday celebration. All of my guests had a wonderful time, there were compliments all around about the food, appetizers, and drinks! Shout out to the chef and the entire team!!!

Appetizer and entrée were the top level of Justine and Miss River, but the desert tasted like cardboard. Thanksgiving set menu.

The restaurant was ice cold and draughty. The food felt like food you would receive at a large event and was not of high quality. Service was good from our waiter but overal experience was wat too expensive for the quality and atmosphere.

2 out of 3 plates came cold; the turkey plates!! They reheated them for few seconds but they were still cold! It was not worth the price!

We went for our monthly girls dinner. When I got there about 20 minutes before the rest of my party. I stood at the host stand alone for at least 5-10 minutes before anyone approached. Someone asked if I wanted to dine alone and I said I had a reservation for 4 and he just picked up menus and started walking without responding to me or telling me to follow. Then I got seated at the table and he walked away without addressing me. The server came up and poured water in my glass and left without asking if I wanted a cocktail or glass of wine. I sat at the table for 15 minutes before being asked if I’d like a drink while I waited. Finally my party arrived and we began ordering food and drinks. The food portions were small and overpriced. Two of us ordered the tagliatelle and not only were we still hungry after but it tasted like feet. Disappointed in our experience and will not be returning.
