Located in the heart of the East Village neighborhood of San Diego, Cowboy Star is dedicated to providing an unmatched attention to detail and a level of service that immediately sets us apart.                                     We were greeted with a smile by 3 the folks who checked us in. Seated immediately. Our server Adam walked us through the menu and specials for the day, we ordered a beverage and tried to choose from the extensive menu. A mile long list of dry aged meats and awesome sides. While we were looking over the menu they brought out a little tasty bite from the chef, pretty cool! Well we couldn’t pass up a great aged steak, my wife ordered the fillet and I ordered a ribeye. When the food arrived it was on a hot plate which is always preferred. They served the steak with mashed potatoes and green beans that must have been picked that morning. We topped everything off with a brandy and an almond cake. Also, on the app, I was able to share it was my wife’s birthday, on the dessert plate they wrote happy birthday in chocolate! A wonderful evening!!

                                    Me and my boyfriend loved the place! I got the ribs that is 10/10 and he got the NY steak what was really good. Service excellent, specifically the busser Lalo, who is really quick and very nice! We also ordered some sides that was way too much for 2 people. Brussels sprouts were really yummy and the mac and cheese was ok, nothing really special.

                                    It's definitely worth the hype around it Quite good and tasty Only thing the bartenders need to improve on is making a dirty martini that doesn't have small chunks of ice in it. A true quality person makes them without the ice bits scattered about. Only true negative because you'd expect more at a place like this... hence the 3 star

                                    Food and service is amazing here. Portions are large; so splitting makes for a tremendous value for the quality of the meals.

                                    This was my first visit to this restaurant and I have to say I have never been so impressed with the service, food & total experience. My husband & I went for our anniversary, and they sure did make it feel special. This is our new birthday spot! We will be back.

                                    Veronica and Mark were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful! My wife and I come here every anniversary, but it was our first marriage anniversary last night and we went to Cowboy Star - it never disappoints! The food was amazing, she got a Wagyu skirt steak and I had the aged t-bone, both were spectacular and came with green beans and shallots. The customer service was (and always is) above and beyond. We recommend it by word-of-mouth but wanted to leave a review here too.

                                    We have been here a few times and we always get put in a tiny table right next to someone. For the price of the food and atmosphere I would love to be able to enjoy a conversation with my husband and not know what the table 4 inches away from me is talking about.

                                    Great service and environment, loved the beets but the tomahawk dry aged Australian wagyu was a little disappointing, lacking flavor and tenderness even at medium rare.
