   My experience could have been better … The restaurant ambience is lovely, well decorated, the music is nice and the light is dim but in a cozy way. The staff very friendly making you feel like you are a regular and you are greeted very warmly from the doorman till you are seated. My problem was with the plates suggested/recommended by my waiter. The wagyu cut was very small, slightly overcooked which defeats the purpose of having such a cut and over rated/ exaggerated for being so “exquisite”. Size, tase, and price wasn’t worth the hype and I am an avid meat consumer so I know my meat. Regarding the rest of the plates, the ones I ordered which are my favorite (Tacos de Saumon and Maigre a la Truffe) didn’t come to the table though I was charged for them in the first bill but were then removed after I told the waiter. The plates that did come to the table were only the plates that were recommended by the waiter and to be honest the only 1 out of the 3 that was actually good ( Guacamole ) . The Croquettes de Bar and Cazuela Bar Chilien to be honest were underwhelming and only the Croquettes arrived hot. Finally the churros… my favorite dessert ruined as it arrived cold to the table and I don’t quite understand why. The positive thing was i asked for a special note to be written on it in chocolate and that was done very thoughtfully but for the special occasion our night was not as delightful as we had wanted it to be in terms of food. Also other tables around as were very loud and shouting and this has nothing to do with the restaurant but was very off putting and didn’t make the night better. A weird fact is that the waiters were so quick to clean the table which was good, but for some reason would never remove the used tissues from the table until they piled up and we ended up asking to be removed. I hope however the restaurant does look into the remarks made about the food as I have been to Coya Dubai, Riyadh, and London and didn’t have this experience.

   The furnishings are very stylish, but unfortunately completely uncomfortable. The chairs are far too low for the tables, which in turn are built in such a way that it is difficult to get under them without hitting your knee. Many guests obviously felt that the seating comfort was poor. Apart from that, I‘d say it was an average Coya experience. I do like the one in BCN much more (we sat there outside on the terrace so I don‘t know whether inside they have the same issue…)

   Caught a last minute booking, the hostess was amazing since we were running late she got us a place before the kitchen closed, COYA never fails to amaze in any country.
