On a mission to share the beauty of Mexican culture through food, Chef Johnny Curiel opens Cozobi Fonda Fina as an encore to his beloved LoHi restaurant, Alma Fonda Fina. Named after Cozobi, the Zapotec god of corn, Cozobi Fonda Fina is rooted in Mexico’s centuries-old corn nixtamalization traditions and wood-fire cooking techniques that define its rich food history.

    1st time I went there in February the service was amazing, even when I sat at the bar area. Today, service was subpar. Also, all of the sudden the music went from comfortable to annoyingly loud. Maybe a bad night. The food is always amazing!

    Phenomenal. The avocado margarita is definitely delicious and I don’t think the sweet corn mezcal margarita gets enough attention. It’s one of the best mezcal cocktails I have had. The food is incredible, and so is the atmosphere. Wonderful place and feels just like hear a restaurant should be.

    Brought friends who love food. Favor combinations as always over the top. Thanks Tyler and everyone. Started with the scallops and I would recommend it as a beginning. Finished with Tre Leches.

    Food was phenomenal. The chef’s table is the way to go. The chef was personable and provided solid recommendations. We will 100% be back and check out sister restaurants.
