Cru Food and Wine Bar at River Oaks in Houston, TX offers many wine vintages for you and your friends or family to enjoy. The establishment also offers a wealth of quality food to sate your appetite. Some of the top options on the menu at Cru Food and Wine Bar at River Oaks include the lobster & shrimp pot stickers, ahi tartare, stone-fired pizzas, filet mignon, Scottish salmon, beautiful seafood options and our roasted half chicken.

Cru Food and Wine Bar at River Oaks serves brunch as well. Some of the items on the brunch menu at the eatery include crab cake benedict, steak & eggs and smoked salmon board. Dessert options include tiramisu and chocolate lava cake. We provide great patio seating, a fun bar and beautiful dining room. Lots of wine selection. I like their flight options. Service had good understanding of wines and made recommendations. One thing I wasn’t a fan of is that there were less than 15 people there and it still took nearly 20 min to get one glass of wine after placing the order.

Great food, great wine selection, lacked big time on service. I wasn’t greeted walking in, I wasn’t asked about my reservations. Pick a table and sit down. Wine cards wasn’t current with descriptions. Great potential, definitely need better service & staffing.

Food was good. Ran out of cheesecake. It was crowded therefore it was very loud. Our service person was cordial but he was very hard to hear and less than enthusiastic.

This place is a gem! Each of us 4 got a different flight, and everyone said that their flight offered a good variety of fun wines. Our waitress (but that's not the right word for someone so helpful and knowledgeable) had great suggestions and was attentive. The meals we had were delicious. We highly recommend it.

The food was good, and our waitress was awesome. However, we did wait for a long time between courses, and we didn't have one course where our food all came out together. There was always someone waiting for several minutes for their plate after the rest of the table was served.
