In a 90 min span, I only saw my waiter 3 times. Had a reservation and still had to wait 20 mins.

Worst service ever. Long wait for food. Waiter never checked on us, offered another drink, or clear a plate. Manager apologized for long wait. Waiter offered desert on the house. We placed a dessert order that never came and were charged for it.

Overall food was just ok… chef seemed unwilling to take pork out of a simple starter, a few dirty pieces of silverware, some missing silverware, etc. One dish, the whipped feta and tahini comes with balsamic vinegar (which a few of us don’t or can’t eat) and it’s nowhere in the listed items of ingredients… and it swims in it! Same thing in a few other dishes… that was disappointing but we realized it wasn’t worth complaining because the staff is super nice, friendly, and it really is a nice atmosphere. Go for beers and cocktails.. to watch a game… not for the food. (Or at least expect bar quality food at best)

I chose this restaurant because I typically enjoy it. However on this night my waitress was awful. She couldn’t accurately answer questions and didn’t seem very focused. My food was off as well. I had a simple Cesar salad with steak. The steak was greasy and the romaine tasted as if it had been washed in lemon juice.

My girlfriend and I always choose Culinary Dropout as our go-to date night in Charlotte. She gets an espresso martini or two and we split the pretzel bites and a plate of the steak frites. Every time we go the atmosphere is amazing and we are treated so well! The food and drinks always come out to perfection, and the waiters/managers always check on you at an appropriate rate. This is a place where you can go get an amazing meal and know the vibe will be perfect every time. We both recommend this place to all our friends and Culinary Dropout will continue to be a staple for our date nights!

I normally come here for solo dinners but because it was NYE, I brought my friends along and they LOVED it!! I love this place and so I was happy that my group also enjoyed it. The food came out in a timely manner, staff was friendly, and everything tasted great. The Chicken Katsu sandwich is a winner every time!! Highly recommend this place always.

we went for NYE. we had a party of 8 and sat in one of the rooms in the back. it wasn't as festive and fun as the main area but i get it was probably used for smaller tables. most of use ordered the steak and lobster special. it was good but it definitely had too much of the sauce on it. It would've been an A+ dish if the sauce would've been on the side or just on the bottom. that part was a bummer. drinks and apps were good per usual.

Food and atmosphere was amazing. Service was terrible. We waited for 20 minutes for our server to greet us at the table. She was writing our orders on her hand and forgot each order multiple times. Luckily the food was delicious which made our night end on a positive note. The atmosphere and live music was great.
