Newly relaunched on 10/29/24 as "Heritage East," on the beautiful square in Downtown Tyler.

Modern East Texas cuisine by award winning (Cochon 555 "Prince of Pork," Texas Bucket List "Bite of the Season" for our Heritage Pork Chop) and Food Network Chopped featured Chef Lance McWhorter. Locally raised steaks, chops, chicken, wild game, seafood, handmade pastas, all served from an open kitchen that is right in the dining room. Lunch (Tues-Fri, 11-3) is standard fare and first come first served seating.

We have an exceptional sommelier driven wine program, and our speakeasy bar The Plaid Rabbit, is open to the public, happy hour is 5-7 daily. Check in with host to access.

Patio seating available for reservations, indoor replacement seating may not be available for reservations interrupted due to inclement weather. Reserve at your own risk. Due to the small size of our dining room, no high chairs or room for strollers is available.

Their friendly and helpful service begins when you walking. We came early to take advantage of going into the Plaid Rabbit for a cocktail before our reservations; such a cool experience. Our waiter was very helpful in menu item selections. The chef did a great job in tailoring and plating the dish. The wine list was extensive and well suited for the food. We will return many times to try their whole menu of delicious meals.

The food is exceptionally prepared from a chef who knows his stuff. Music was a little loud and prices are comparable with other fine dining establishments. All in all wonderful place for a date or an occasion.

If I could give six stars, I absolutely would! Executive Chef Lance has truly outdone himself with the brunch menu. Each dish was not only innovative but bursting with flavor, showcasing the incredible passion the entire staff has for cooking. From start to finish, it was clear that a lot of thought and care went into every plate. Every bite was a delightful surprise, and the creativity behind each dish really stood out. It’s rare to experience such a perfectly executed brunch and I can’t wait to return!

The food is amazing you could just toss a dart at the menu and be satisfied. The flavor is off the charts and the prices are lower than what you would expect for the quality of the food. They get their products local and fresh and it shows. Eating here shows you what quality and care meets to make exquisite dining

Eating at Heritage East at Culture ETX was one of the best experiences I’ve had in East Texas. It’s a beautiful marriage of fine dining and Texas home cooking. It’s everything you want out of a dining experience with great service, attentive staff who serve you with a smile, and amazing tasting food. Don’t leave hungry because there is something for you!

Love the setup there. I got to watch the Chef make my food from 10ft away. The new menu is great as well! Outstanding service. Get the deviled eggs!

Absolutely one of the best meals we have had! Everything from start to finish with the wine pairings were spectacular. We have zero complaints from our night. The best items of the night were surprisingly the fries, and the fried bread pudding was delicious. Thank you to Lance and his great staff!
