Curio is a bar and restaurant that honors all things unconventional. Located next to The Chapel, the Mission’s most prominent performance venue, the space brings together some of life’s greatest pleasures – well-crafted cocktails, regional American food, and live music. The eclectic space draws inspiration from the building’s past as a mortuary, exploring the mysterious themes of life and time.

Aside from metered street parking (enforcement ending at 6pm), there is no parking provided onsite. There are parking garages located in the neighborhood. One is the Mission & Bartlett Garage at 90 Bartlett St. (between 21st and 22nd Streets). Another is the Hoff Street Garage at 42 Hoff (between 16th and 17th Streets).
Public transit
The closest BART station is 16th & Mission, approximately a 10 minute walk from us. SF Muni bus lines 14, 22, 33, 49, and the J CHURCH light rail are all within walking distance. There are also All Nighter bus routes available throughout the city and surrounding counties.

The braised short reb was phenomenal!!! So tender and flavorful. My friend had the spicy jack burger and loved it as well. We had made reservations right before a concert at the Chapel and were able to be the first people through the doors. Such a fun night!!

Best experience!!! Went with friends before the Artemas and had the best time. Live music, delicious drinks, our server was fun and every dish we ordered was so good!!

Had a great date here, they were out of oysters (for happy hour!) so I was disappointed, but they gave me a discount on tuna tartar which was delicious! Would pass on the smoked potato wedges (just okay) and the rib and polenta plate was just okay, the polenta was overly seasoned (rare for me to say this since I love cheese, but just had too much!) but the short rib was perfectly cooked! Drinks amazing!

Enjoyed the brunch on Sunday! Staff was great and friendly. Food was delicious. Not much more you could ask for. Nice number of options for vegetarians.

The entrees weren't cheap, but I've had food twice as expensive that wasn't as good. There was a three-guitar ensemble playing, which was lovely. The courtyard was charming and the service was good. The cocktails were outstanding.

The food was good. I enjoyed the salmon with the creamed corn. My husband had the bbq ribs, which he said were good, too, but was astonished to be told that there was NO BUTTER available for the corn bread. How can that be? Prices were high and the portions seemed pretty small. Our meals were served before the beverages and we had to go looking for our server for the bill so that we could get to the concert on time in spite of our having told him that we had tickets for next door.
