Hailed as "The Best New NYC Restaurant of the Pandemic" by the NYC Post, Dagon is an exciting restaurant on Manhattan's Upper West Side that features cuisine from "somewhere in the Mediterranean." Named for the Phoenician and Philistine god of agriculture and the earth, the menu showcases modern Israeli cuisine with Levantine influences.

                                                              We came for a birthday brunch and it was really fabulous. The food is delicious. Very reasonable prices. Excellent service. I’m glad I made a reservation because it was very busy.

                                                              Took mom to dinner here as she hadn’t visited the city in a while. Food was excellent! The sauce for the cauliflower had this taste that was so delicious. Service was on point. Will def be back!

                                                              We have loved Dagon and were excited to introduce friends to the restaurant. Last night was an off night. Had a server that was obviously having a bad day/night. He was unfortunately unfriendly and difficult. We would have ordered more food, but he said there were rules about ordering in different courses. The portions were much smaller than our previous experiences there and the noise level unusually loud.

                                                              The food is excellent but I was not informed until we arrived that the kitchen would only be open for 30 mins and that the restaurant had a private event later that evening so we were only permitted to diner for an hour. Felt very rushed. Would have appreciated the info in advance so we could have made other plans.

                                                              We always enjoy a meal at Dagon. The food is very good, though a bit pricey. The breads are terrific! We decided to share several starters rather than get an entree - we really like the leek mushroom soup and potato tart specials, as well as the dumplings and the cigar.

                                                              You can't go wrong with a Mediterranean breakfast. Loved the variety. Loved the Jerusalem bagel. I ordered the Israeli Breakfast for brunch. It was overall ok. It could have been much better if the salad that came with it was more fresh, and the baked potatoes were not so sad. The potatoes didn't belong to the dish, as the bread provided enough starch for the dish. Probably a different or another choice of dip/spread would have been more appropriate instead of the potatoes, or more Salmon. My date ordered the Schnitzel, which was delicious, with a much more fresh salad, interestingly enough. The malabi was excellent!! Not sure why the music was so loud and was so disconnected from the overall ambiance.
