This was our first date night away from our toddler, and we were excited to try somewhere new. We wanted to take our time and enjoy our evening. The server notified us she was new so she had to run back and forth asking a lot of questions - I would address this as a management problem and as a new restaurant you should have your staff well trained and to know the menu. We ordered the tortilla soup and nachos to start, we specified we wanted these as our appetizers and to come out first, and then our entrees were the fish tacos and short rib. We probably only waited 10 -15ish minutes and our food came out.. all of it at the same time. The tortillas in my soup were already extremely soggy. We tried to go between the entrees and nachos, but wanted our entrees while they were hot, which left the nachos getting soggy and cold. The short rib was extremely overdone and like beef jerky. Extremely unimpressed. The fish tacos had way too much slaw for the amount of fish, however, the taste was great. I got a Moscow mule, and my husband got a glass of Malbec, and both were very good. When I asked about desserts, our waitress listed them with no description instead of bringing a menu. So when I asked questions she had to go back and ask the kitchen again. I specifically asked if the chocolate tort had anything on it like fruit or anything and the waitresses reply after asking the kitchen was "the kitchen said sometimes if they have fruit they might put it on." So I kept it simple and ordered the churros, they were nothing special, pretty bland, and the chocolate sauce was not good. We were so unimpressed, we may give them a second chance after they've had time to get their stuff together but wow..currently I would not recommend to anyone. If I was management I would be trying to run a tighter ship. I worked in the food industry for many years and see many holes if they expect to make it going forward.
