Feast on creative fare focused on local, farm to to table scratch cooking. Offering dinner and lunch services throughout the week with brunch on Sundays. Dark Horse Restaurant has appetizers like fresh baked cornbread skillet, fried calamari, and cheese boards. Guests can enjoy an entree of local duck breast, braised beef in a merlot and vegetable reduction or a local market fish.     We had a great lunch at Dark Horse! Portions were large, service was excellent and the food was delicious! The duck wrap was huge and delicious. The trio grilled cheese, onion soup and salad was more than enough for lunch. Wonderful spot in the middle of Riverhead!

    What we ate was very good. What we wanted was on the menu but not available, filet mignon. It being new years eve and not having a main dish seems a bit ill prepared on restaurants part. With that being said, food was good, we ended up with burgers for 3 of 4 dinners.

    Food is always great and gluten free (about 90% of the menu). If it wasn't 45 minutes from our house we would definitely come more often.
