Maybe our waitress was new but we were surprised by a few things: 1. we ordered 2 glasses of wine and she brought out something we didn’t ask for. 2. She took the bread off the table without asking us. 3. My steak was way overcooked and she took her time coming over to ask about it. I didn’t send it back because of our schedule. It was just not up to par for this type of restaurant.

The lobster bisque was not a traditional serving. It was overwhelmed by a flavor of chipotle seasoning. The service was excellent however the food did not meet the standard of a high priced steakhouse. We made several comments to the server but no manager came out to address the issues.

We had dinner at David's on the 30th December and returned on the 5th January because it was fantastic. Great service and the food was cooked perfect.

David and his staff went above and beyond to make our dinner special. The food was fabulous and the service magnificent! Javier behind the bar can make a memorable old fashioned! 10/10 would recommend!

Had the Brie encroute which was really good. Table bread was disappointing- kind of stodgy. My husband had the filet. The meat was very high quality but the gravy was very salty. The potatoes were good. I had the butternut squash agnoletti. I just had a class 3 weeks ago on making pasta- so I am biased by that experience. I made butternut squash ravioli which was so much better. Perhaps agnoletti is supposed to be thick? But, again, it felt stodgy. The zucchini and sauce were good. The salted caramel ice cream with pretzels was a great idea but entirely too sweet. The two of us couldn't finish one serving. Good service and nice quiet atmosphere.

Very disappointed with our first time dining at David's. We were celebrating our daughters birhtday and thought Davids would be a nice dinner and a quiet setting. I had mentioned this on the reservation. The hostess put us in a side room next to a group of about 20 people who were very loud and inconsiderate of their surroundings. We had a table of four and it was difficult to have a conversation. In addition, the level of service from our server was poor, very inattentive and rarely checked in with us. Seemed like she didn't want to be there. For the price point of this restaurant the service and ambiance should be better.

Great place. One of our favorites on the island. Steaks, sea bass, Wagu were all cooked perfectly. Service was excellent and the night was fantastic.

Fantastic meal and experience. I had French onion soup and Ribeye - best I have ever tasted for both. My wife had Scallops - best we have ever tasted. Service was great. Meal fantastic. Upper tier pricing, but beyond upper tier experience. We are looking forward to our trip to Amelia Island and our first reservation will be at David’s.
