    We ordered a $90.00 ribeye. It was less than a half inch thick and was 40% inedible fat! We ordered the rib eye because the NY strip we ordered on our last visit 5 months ago was too tough to even cut with a sharp knife! Do NOT order steak at this supposedly high end steak restaurant. Over priced and inedible!

    Very expensive for what it is. Much better options available at other restaurants at more reasonable prices. Very slow service.

    This was our second visit during our stay at Hacienda Del Mar in a week. This visit again had very slow service. We often felt forgotten. The NY strip steak was cooked medium rare as ordered and seasoned but it was extremely tough. For this price and high end of a restaurant, they never should have served a piece of beef that was gristly and tough to cut and chew!! The french fries were tasty but a lot of odd shaped pieces. Both of our appetizers scallops and octopus were way too spicy even though that was not listed on the ingredients. The server said they use chili oil. Well they were heavy handed that night. The scallops which we ordered at the last meal had a completely different presentation and the random sauces were very different. Both times they were cooked under which is good for us. I would recommend you ask about the dishes you are ordering and pay attention to how they are prepared knowing this restaurant is not consistent.

    De Cortez is a wonderful location but the quality of the food has really gone down. Sad to say. Their breakfast was fantastic when it was offered but that had ended.
