The Delme is situated at the heart of Hitchin Priory. Perched on the outskirts of Hitchin town, the food served at The Delme is a far cry from the typical restaurants you’ll find down the high street with an emphasis on great food and great service.

Courtesy of Hitchin Priory’s highly experienced Chef, his well-honed kitchen team, the Delme has a frequently changing menu revolving around the freshest, seasonal ingredients, offering sensational food. No staff on reception. No staff in the restaurant on entry and even during the meal the only waitress there kept on going away. We were the only people there so I have no idea why. Most beers were out of stock and the only one was a tasteless Swedish brew. The wines we had (both Spanish) were cheap but not good quality. Two of us had chicken and I think half a salt pot had been thrown at them. The final bill was incorrect which was altered. Wanting to leave I didn't bother mentioning that a wine was charged incorrectly, so I just payed.
