We came to the restaurant because of the good reviews, the yummy sounding venue, and the unique food presentation. The ambience was ok expect for the saxophone player. It was a nice touch except he played so loud it was nearly impossible to hear my companions. When he took a break it was a breathe of fresh air. It would have been more enjoyable for his background music to be turned down. Our food was mostly really good - the lobster salad, lobster bisque, and popcorn shrimp were delicious. But we also got the BBQ of bones. First, the presentation bucket was so tall my companion and I could no longer see each other. Second, the lamb was delicious. Third, the chicken was NOT seasoned at all. It was really inedible. Finally, lobster was overcooked in some parts and sweet and delicious in others. Regarding service and atmosphere…when a dish of ours would come out with the unique presentation, it was whisked away quickly. Other diners had theirs on the table the whole time. In the case of my soup and salad, they were taken away in under a minute from being set down in front of me, taking away the magic and fun of the presentation. Online and at the outset of our meal, we were prepared for the 20% of service charge that was to be added to our check. But I was surprised to be then asked for a tip, too. Overall it was a unique place to eat. They still have some service and atmosphere kinks to work out to make it really worth the high cost.
