Welcome to the Devonshire Arms, Baslow
The Devonshire Arms, in the stunning Peak District National Park, is a stylish bar and restaurant, with 11 individually designed en suite double rooms.

Our talented executive chef, Darren Goodwin, and his team deliver mouthwatering dishes every day of the week, complemented by an extensive wine list, a choice of cask ales and European lagers, and a wide range of premium spirits.

We pride ourselves on our wine list, which includes many wines not available in other venues or on the high street, with over 35 wines that are available by the glass and bottle.

    I have to say this pub is simply amazing! We have been for drinks before after walks around the Peak District and always loved it! But we decided to eat here this evening for my birthday meal and we weren’t disappointed! The staff went above and beyond, we really lovely and jolly. Everyone was happy! The dining area was so lovely. It’s the right balance of special for a nice meal and cosy country pub. It’s dog friendly too and they made a fuss of the dogs and gave them a water bowl! Thank for making my birthday meal so lovely!

    Lovely bar to walk into and staff were friendly. Ordered food at around 12:45 which were light meals apart from one fish and chips. It was after 1:30 when we received the sandwiches but still had to wait for the fish and chips. The restaurant wasn’t busy and no explanation as to why food was so long. Many others were questioning the time the food was taking. I would visit again as hoping it was a one off and there was an issue somewhere.

    Poor experience. Stayed in the pub and ate dinner in the bar. One meal came out, the other was black and over cooked and sent back. Sides that we were ordered were stone cold. Meals were mediocre. Would not recommend.

    Not the best evening, waited an hour for 4 main courses which arrived in sequence rather than together. Food wasn’t great despite premium prices. Staff were apologetic and the bill was discounted 10%, but overall underwhelming and disappointing.

    Lovely Sunday roast. We booked very last minute and they managed to squeeze us in despite the restaurant being full when we visited. The food and service was excellent.

    We had a lovely meal here tonight. Myself and husband had the two course Christmas dinner and it was delicious with plenty of fresh vegetables and lovely Turkey. My daughter had the Korean chicken burger and she said it was tasty. The waitress was helpful and looked after us well. The place was very festive with lots of Christmas decorations.

    Always love coming here and have stayed here before too which was fab. Even brought friends Sunday as we love it so much. Roast potatoes were a little hard like they'd been stood for too long and it took a while to get our drinks at the table but overall we loved it and so did they.
