We’re located in a beautifully restored former Wood Turning Mill and Dyehouse, with Riverside Garden and Wild Flower Meadow, with decor embracing our post-modern industrial heritage with the warmth and energy of an Italian Piazza.

    As always, I come away feeling like I’ve had a special night out. The staff are always very engaging and friendly. I had the pork belly and it was gorgeous.

    Great evening at devour (Christmas market) we were eating but arrived early to look round market . Men however went in for a drink ….. we shopped then went in , they were still waiting for drinks …not happy 30 mins delay . The bar couldn’t cope with volume , meal was great but again a delay for drinks order . Waitress Tilly did her best to hurry them . Overall a lovely evening but some changes needed if to repeat volume of people through bar facilities

    Christmas market outside excellent atmosphere inside, overall it was a lovely evening and would recommend to anyone. The only reason I could not give it 5 stars was the time it took to get drinks. We were sat at 6.45 and our drinks order was taken. Then the food order was taken straight after. We asked our server 3 times if our drinks were coming, we we told that due to the market the bar was backed up. Our food arrived at 7.30 we had just about finished our starter when our drinks arrived. I know they were busy but 3 /4 of an hour for drinks is a bit much. Apart from that the food was excellent. We didn't have a dessert but definitely next time

    This is a top class restaurant with a very chilled vibe. The waiting staff are lovely and helpful. The chef knows we are in Yorkshire so it's not 'pretty pictures and tiny portions' at pretentious prices. It is high quality food, excellent ingredients beautifully presented but enough to fill your 'belly'. Would recommend.

    Had a great night with really first class service Only down point was the special - sea bass - just an anemic piece of fish on the plate with no garnish whatsoever Otherwise a really enjoyable evening - you really have the service spot on !

    Our first visit here for my wife’s birthday. I was really impressed from just initially walking into the restaurant. All the staff that greet are ultra polite and in a very natural and normal way not an overbearing or overly formal way. The level of service is above anything I’ve experienced in the surrounding area. Prior to the food arriving, with the ambience of the restaurant and the politeness and warmth shown by the staff I had no doubt that the food was also going to be excellent. I wasn’t wrong. It was all first class and we will be back in the future. There are a lot of bar/restaurant type establishments around Penistone and Holmfirth but in the restaurant area this place is a step above anything I have experienced elsewhere. Perfect for a special occasion or just a meal out . Fantastic!

    A special dini g experience for us as it was our 40th wedding g anniversary meal. Great meal and very helpful, friendly and obliging staff. A very memorable meal .
