“Top Steakhouses in America” Maxim Magazine and Playboy, and featured in the Wall Street Journal, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse serves straightforward prime steaks with a New Orleans touch. Signature dishes and sides include: The House Filet (served with masa flash-fried Louisiana oysters), Tomato Blue Cheese Napoleon, Pontalba Potatoes, and a Roasted Sweet Potato with Creole Pecan Butter. The house favorite dessert is a toss up between the Coconut Cake with a chiffon buttercream and the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding—so go ahead and order both.

    We really enjoyed our evening at Dickie Brennan's Tuesday, January 14. The restaurant is beautiful, and the service was outstanding. At least eight team members helped serve us over the two hour meal. Timing was excellent, and everyone was friendly. The food was good, but not great, other than the crab cake, which was off the charts. Steak and Au Gratin potatoes were good, but not as good as some steaks we've had at other top-end steakhouses. We thought pricing was fair for the setting, and we hope to go back again one day.

    I travel to New Orleans every two years and we always go to Dickie Brennans. The food was amazing but this year we also had an amazing waiter named Joe! He was awesome! His service was great-he joked around will us and made the usual great experience fabulous!

    Our server Sam was excellent and knowledgeable about the menu. She was attentive and made us feel like we were her only guest.

    Always a wonderful experience but this dinner was especially nice. I had my children and my niece with me and the attention shown to each of us by the staff left a permanent impression on my kids. My son says Dickie's steakhouse is his new favorite restaurant and my daughter keeps talking about how amazing the food was! Our gratitude to everyone there.

    Dined here several times in my life and last night was not the usually good experience, two of two steaks ordered were over cooked to medium well expecting medium rare, had to then wait 15 minutes for new steaks while the rest of the party ate, the “Oscar” topping at $28 adder was very lacking in both taste and sauce, appeared to be ground up crab without visible Bernaise or hollandaise sauce with mushy asparagus. The Brussels spout side was also mushy. Disappointing to say the least considering the NY Strip plus Oscar was $91. Too many other great dinning options in NOLA before I would consider returning

    Overall it was "good". For a Brennan's restaurant, I had high expectations. The beet salad is 3 beets-not quite a "salad". The crab cake was very good if you mixed it with the sauce but by itself, was quite 'fishy" tasting. We had the prime rib, ny strip and filet. The strip was VERY tough. The filet was great and the prime rib was good. The au jus was NOT an au jus. It had a very thick consistency--more like a worcestershire peppercorn mix. The mac and cheese was very good. The potato was barely look warm that came with the prime rib (prime rib night). Our server was not very attentive--it was not very busy. We asked for ice and never got it. She suggested we get the bread and dip in the sauce from the crab cake--except she never returned with the bread. When she did bring it, we were done with the appetizer. She then took the loaf of bread that she had just brought to us about 5 min earlier and said she'd bring us a new loaf. Never got that. Overall it was just okay--wasn't impressed with anything to where I'd say I need to go back.
