“Top Steakhouses in America” Maxim Magazine and Playboy, and featured in the Wall Street Journal, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse serves straightforward prime steaks with a New Orleans touch. Signature dishes and sides include: The House Filet (served with masa flash-fried Louisiana oysters), Tomato Blue Cheese Napoleon, Pontalba Potatoes, and a Roasted Sweet Potato with Creole Pecan Butter. The house favorite dessert is a toss up between the Coconut Cake with a chiffon buttercream and the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding—so go ahead and order both.

    The experience was great for our thanksgiving dinner. Anthony, our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. Beyond the service, food was awesome. Definitely recommend the oysters, the duck, and the Mississippi mud pie.

    We came down from West Virginia for Thanksgiving and chose here for supper. We were taken care of by Reba, and had nothing short of a stellar experience. The meal was prepared perfectly, service was great, and the atmosphere made for an evening well spent. If I ever make it back to New Orleans, I’ll definitely be booking a table here again.

    The food and ambience were excellent. Our waiter took the time to explain the different options and made great suggestions. The only down side was the hostess. She was not very welcoming and when we asked for a different table she stated they were fully booked. By the time we were done, the booth we asked for that was “booked” had been left empty and they were plenty of other tables available. Disappointing.

    The service here on Thanksgiving was fantastic, but we felt that the food was subpar. Just average especially for the high prices we paid.

    This is one of my favorite restaurants in NOLA. I have celebrated many milestones here, so my family of three decided to try Thanksgiving this year. Service and cocktails were exceptional as always. Our crab cake appetizer was not. At market price, there were way too many shells in it! The traditional roasted turkey dinner with sides was delicious. My son and I opted for steaks with fries for his side and au gratin potatoes for mine. My steak was overcooked, but still good. My au gratin potatoes were not cooked enough though. Decided to bring them home and finish them myself because they are incredible when cooked right. Overall, enjoyed our meal and we will be back. Just a few things missed the mark and for the price we paid, there should not have been any issues.

    Reservation was for 6:45PM, we were promptly seated into a somewhat quiet side dining room. This was nice and intimate. The restaurant was not overly crowded and appeared to have enough staff to service customers. Our waiter was jovial and pleasant, but he did not introduce himself upon getting our orders. Our food wasn’t hot which took away from the dining experience. We had dined at Commander’s Palace last evening which was impeccable with service and food.

    The House Filet cuts with a fork. It’s the best steak in town !! Turtle soup always a treat !! Love this place !!

    This is our second time visiting and we loved our dinner. The overall experience is always one we’ll come back to. Our server Siobhan was fantastic, the wine she suggested was bang on. Great experience!
