“Top Steakhouses in America” Maxim Magazine and Playboy, and featured in the Wall Street Journal, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse serves straightforward prime steaks with a New Orleans touch. Signature dishes and sides include: The House Filet (served with masa flash-fried Louisiana oysters), Tomato Blue Cheese Napoleon, Pontalba Potatoes, and a Roasted Sweet Potato with Creole Pecan Butter. The house favorite dessert is a toss up between the Coconut Cake with a chiffon buttercream and the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding—so go ahead and order both.

    Wonderful food and lovely ambience. Ask to sit in Reba’s section, she’s the best! We happened to be seated next to a large party of very drunk, very loud individuals the night we went but that doesn’t seem like the typical vibe of the place.

    Very disappointed. The steak was served cold and when we requested to have it warmed up they quickly took it back and returned it warm. Remind you the cold streak on each of our plates were still there so after moving a pile of cold steak off we were left with warm steak that now was dry. Very very disappointing.

    Our visit to Dickie Brennan was just okay. The service and drinks were amazing. The food was subpar. Everything that came to the table was lukewarm. Nothing seemed as though it was just cooked. Our streaks were cooked at the wrong temperature, and the potatoes au gratin were hard. I wanted to enjoy it but was left with unmatched expectations.

    The food was good, certainly not the best steakhouse I have ever been to but okay. The service was not good, especially for a nicer restaurant. It took well over half an hour to get our drinks, then an hour into being there before we saw just the appetizers. We had to ask numerous times to have glasses and dishes cleared from the table, just the very basic rules of not just fine dining service, just service in general! Our server was friendly; it feels like a management and training problem. If you have limited time in New Orleans like we did, don’t waste a meal here.

    The steaks were of the best quality and the service was superior. We will definitely be returning. My ribeye was like butter and tasted phenomenal.

    Numerous visits over the years.. not satisfied this visit. Shrimp not fresh, NY Strip very little flavor. Better meal at Longhorn
