** EDIT: Mark personally contacted me immediately upon seeing this review and has offered to host us again to make it right. I am impressed, and it speaks volumes, his swift and committed attention to this event. Looking forward to giving this restaurant another chance now, with hopefully a rave review after, at which time this review will be deleted.
From being seated in what felt like an echo chamber room that seemed to be a new addition to the restaurant? Empty, zero music, bare walls and ZERO ambience, we were then treated to a female server that made sure to make us feel like a imposition for our dietary requests that I had ALREADY called ahead about and arranged anyway! (Spoke with Mark) We were there to celebrate my son’s birthday, and it was his first experience at this restaurant, and not only will he not be back, we will not be returning ever again now. Meals came out actually MISSING components that were to accompany the entrees, on the SAME PLATE, they were simply missing and we had to ask, to which they were then provided much later, breaking up the dining/meal experience terribly. Our server went out of her way to be obviously annoyed with us, making zero efforts to guide a seamless experience for us. We waited so long at one point for a drink from the bar, that our server had no choice but to comp it, however, we didn’t even want it anymore as we were more than ready to leave… she literally admitted the problem was she couldn’t find the bartender. Bread was not automatically provided as has always been when we had dined there previously, we had to ask for it, and the special dessert we brought in that Mark said would be fine to do, and that they could warm and slice, was another whole event for our server to have an attitude about AND share with us she wouldn’t want any when my son, still trying to salvage the evening, offered to her to have a piece as well if she would like. Never going back, paid Jeff Ruby prices for an Applebee’s experience.
