I had high hopes for this visit, as my first experience at this restaurant was amazing. I came for a friend’s birthday with a group of five and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, this time around was disappointing.
Upon arrival, the host was warm and welcoming, which started the experience off on a positive note. However, once we were seated, I noticed my chair was very dirty, with crumbs scattered across the seat. I had to clean it myself before I could sit comfortably.
As we were settling in and removing our coats, the server approached us without introducing themselves. Instead, they asked in a curt tone, “Still water or sparkling for the night?” It felt rushed and impersonal, especially since we hadn’t even had a chance to look at the menu.
When I requested still water, the server returned and poured it into my glass, but only filled about a third of it—not even halfway. While I understand that everyone can have a rough, long day, a more welcoming approach and better attention to detail would have made a significant difference in the experience.
Overall, I was left feeling disappointed, particularly because I know this restaurant is capable of providing excellent service. I hope this was an isolated incident, as I would like to return in the future.
And to add: Waiter did not check in with us through out and we’re already desperate trying to call them to bring over our check which was already a hassle to hunt. Another waiter, without even asking, came and grabbed our check
