Domenica translates to “Sunday,” in Italian, it is the day of the week to explore and cook leisurely, abundant meals. At Domenica restaurant, our chefs seek to transport guests to those coveted moments, offering passionately prepared dishes that marry pure, local ingredients with revered techniques.

While the menu is rooted in tradition, our chefs focus on elevating Italian ingredients and classic flavors to create modern classics, adapted for the contemporary palate of New Orleans. The fresh pastas made by hand daily, roasted vegetables, meats and Napolitano style pizzas, all prepared in the restaurant’s iconic wood oven, are perfectly complemented by custom-brewed beers, seasonal craft cocktails and an Italian-focused wine list.

Great service today on Christmas day! So busy but servers were awesome. I messed up on timing of my reservation but they worked hard to accommodate my mistake. Food was great and good quantity.

Flavor is hit and miss. Some good but few dishes are super salty. Roasted cauliflower and veal are both good. White truffle pasta doesnt have much flavor. Cannoli that came with reveillon dinner is very blend and outer shell is stale. Overall is still a nice restaurant with good atmosphere at Roosevelt.

We were seated right at the front door- I don’t it’s appropriate to have table so close to the entry. Our service was some what slow. Not only was it Christmas, but my husband’s birthday as well. The meal we had from the appetizer, the pasta, lasagna and pizza which we all shared was some of the worst Italian food I have ever had. The pizza was salty, the lasagna was salty and the pasta we had wea not editable! The only redeeming part of the meal were the drinks and desert. By far the worst meal we have ever had in New Orleans- hands down! Would not recommend.

We have eaten at Dominica every year for last 7years and times in between. I was very unhappy this time. Seriously be was good but food was not good. Definitely not up to the standards on Nola and the past. Signature cauliflower not cooked in oven long enough. Pasta dishes were not good at all and seemed pre made. Very expensive which ok for special occasion but didn’t meet the standard for that price. We will probably make other plans next Christmas.

I have eaten dinner and it was delicious. Today was not. My noodles weren’t cooked and no protein was offered with the pasta.

Heather was amazing and her energy was so good. She paid attention to my 10-year-old goddaughter and made her feel a part of the experience. She felt very special.

No bread service. Waiter came by at best 2 twice. Tiramisu was the worst that I ever had. Seemingly prepared to order, it tasted like an excess volume of coffee was poured over two dry ladyfingers moments before, whipped cream was added, and an excess amount of cocoa powder added to cover up the hastily prepared fill-in dessert. Zero marrying of flavors. A watery mess.
