Domenica translates to “Sunday,” in Italian, it is the day of the week to explore and cook leisurely, abundant meals. At Domenica restaurant, our chefs seek to transport guests to those coveted moments, offering passionately prepared dishes that marry pure, local ingredients with revered techniques.

While the menu is rooted in tradition, our chefs focus on elevating Italian ingredients and classic flavors to create modern classics, adapted for the contemporary palate of New Orleans. The fresh pastas made by hand daily, roasted vegetables, meats and Napolitano style pizzas, all prepared in the restaurant’s iconic wood oven, are perfectly complemented by custom-brewed beers, seasonal craft cocktails and an Italian-focused wine list.

Food was good, and our waiter was wonderful. There was a wreck on the interstate so we were late for our reservation. We called to let them know and got a recording that said they would hold our table for 20 minutes. No opportunity to speak to a person. We arrived exactly 22 minutes late and they had given away our table. They did find a table for us, but told us we had one hour to eat and then they would need the table. While I am grateful that they were able to seat us, the experience was awkward.

Always have the best experience when we visit Domenica! The roasted cauliflower is the best cauliflower you’ll ever eat & the gluten free options for pasta are THE BEST!

Our server, Heather, was incredibly fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. She made great recommendations and was so fun to be around. You can tell she loves people and her job!

We dine here regularly for pre-theater dinner. Love the happy hour options. Rivers, our server, was very efficient and friendly. We had a great time.

Food and service was excellent. We tried the green and chopped salads and the meat pizza. We also had a bottle of organic Cabernet red wine. Highly recommended.

Very disappointing. I had a table of 7 booked and when arriving the hostess was slow and completely overwhelmed leaving us waiting at least 10 minutes to then be told she needed to check if the table was ready. It was not. We waited another 5 minutes. The service once we sat was slow. More than slow and when our lunch was finally served, one of our party’s meals did not arrive. Our waitress was less than pleasant and the slow service left us late for a meeting. I would not go back (btw, when presented with the electronic bill, the tip setting was highlighted at 20% - needless to say I changed the percentage).

Stopped in for a bite before a show, and had the pleasure of having Ryan as our server. Food and cocktails were great, as always, and service was fast. One of the best happy hours in town!

Our server was always engaged throughout the night. The food was very good. I definitely would recommend dining here. Then head into the hotel’s bar Sarah’s, for a night cap. Great history.
