    Allow us to pick you up for an unforgettable evening in our Rolls-Royce Ghost. This exclusive experience includes return transportation to-and -from Don Alfonso 1890 and Michelin Star tasting menu dinner for two. The experience is $1,000 per couple. Parties of 4 are $1,800 if they’re at the same address and $2,000 if there will be a second pickup/drop off location. Dinner reservations for this experience are 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Our driver will pick you up 30-45 minutes prior to your reservation. Our pickup radius is limited to the GTA. At another table , there was a photographer who was taking pictures of a couple who just got engaged. The photographer detracted from our and another tables ambience.

                                                      We had a very disappointing experience, despite making our reservation well in advance to celebrate my partner’s birthday. We booked it for NYE, a week before our reservation, the restaurant informed us that only a special NYE menu with a mandatory drink pairing would be available. Since neither of us drinks alcohol, we requested a non-alcoholic pairing, which they assured us could be arranged. From the restaurant’s website, we expected a 6-course tasting menu priced at $225pp. Instead, the NYE menu consisted of just 4 courses, plus bread and canapés, at $230pp. The drink pairing—whether alcoholic or non-alcoholic—added another $120pp, bringing the total to $350 each. The food portions were extremely small, and the dishes were underwhelming, lacking the finesse and creativity we expected from a Michelin-starred establishment. The flavours didn’t stand out, and some courses felt uninspired, falling well short of what we’ve experienced at other fine-dining restaurants. Upon arrival, the staff had no record of our request for non-alcoholic pairings and handed us the wine list. The drinks arrived after we had already finished each course, which defeated the purpose of a pairing. The service also fell short of Michelin standards. The servers were inconsistent in how they presented dishes—sometimes serving from the left, other times from the right. One side of our table was next to a window, making it awkward when they served. After dessert, the server who collected our plates mistakenly asked how we enjoyed the risotto. When my partner stepped away to use the restroom, the napkin was left unfolded on the table, a detail we expected to be addressed at this level of dining. Given the price, reputation, and occasion, our expectations were high. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short, and we left feeling disappointed, unsatisfied, and questioning how this restaurant earned its Michelin star.

                                                      In the lobby we met Davide and I knew right then and there it would be an amazing experience. We went on NYE for their 3 course tasting menu along with the wine pairing. This restaurant currently has 1 Michelin star and it deserves 3. We sat at the bar and were taken care of by Elijah, Julian, and Marco. It felt like they anticipated every need before we knew we needed it. The wines served were amazing and well chosen. The tasting started with a bread course and the focaccia and truffle butter were the best we’ve ever had in our lives. That was tough to admit just have come back from puglia italy only weeks before. The other standout was the bison filet. So perfectly cooked. After our meal Davide ask if we wanted a kitchen tour which we gladly took him up on. He served us a lovely limoncello digestif while there. Davide, we hope we can buy you a drink when we cross paths again. Your warmth and energy was contagious. Thank you from the botttom of our hearts. We hope your kitchen staff got their beers. -Erik and Christina

                                                      If you’re looking for something inexpensive, then this isn’t for you. For us is a once in a lifetime event where we try ed all sorts of different foods that we would never have anywhere else. The only real option is the signature menu, and the device was outstanding! With a half bottle of the cheapest red wine the bill came to over $600. Wouldn’t do it again, but super happy we did it once!
