On this, The restaurants original site, Doyles on the Beach opened Australia's first seafood restaurant in 1885. We have been family owned and operated for over 5 generations.

The restaurant internationally famous and a mecca for Sydneysiders and tourists alike, offering a stunning range of fresh seafood for lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.

Family Friendly, Great for date night!, indoor & outdoor dining located right next to the beach. We cater for families, business lunches, special events, weddings & special occasions. private rooms available.

Visit our newly opened open-air Garden Bar (open daily 11.30am - late) , try one of our refreshing cocktails, a draught beer or a glass of wine before dining in the restaurant or why not order from the garden bar menu. (reservations excepted for both the restaurant & garden bar)

    Shortly after being seated, a buser inadvertently spilled an entire soft drink in my lap, soaking my trousers. Waitperson (Eva1) never offered assistance; never supplied towels; never offered to move us to a second table; rudely asked us to stand so she could recloth the table; never so much as apologized. It was a horrible experience. The meal was frankly ruined. Avoid if you would like good service.

    We went lunch today. Sat outside at the front of the restaurant. Enjoyed starters of Moreton Bay Bugs and Rocket, pear and Parmesan salad. Partner ordered barramundi fish & chips and I ordered grilled barramundi with carrots / green beans / mashed potato on a puréed artichoke sauce. Partner very pleased with his meal. The carrots & green beans on my meal were raw. I can only imagine that they plated up the meal and had forgotten to cook the veg. Told waitress who relayed my feedback to the kitchen. I was told new, cooked veggies would be arriving shortly. Never arrived. About 10 mins after we’d both finished our meals, a whole new dish arrived for me, a duplicate of my original order. I didn’t want another meal so I explained what had happened (different waitress) and she took it back to kitchen. I asked to speak to the person in charge but nobody ever came. We paid the bill and left. They did not charge me for my meal, which was some compensation but I’d rather have had a lovely meal! Very disappointed with the overall experience.

    The waitress that served us (table 157 for lunch) was great and even celebrated my birthday by getting me a scoop of ice cream with a candle.....I really appreciated that.....thank you 😀

    The last time we dined at Doyle was 30 years ago when we lived closer, we enjoyed out delicious meals, we were seated out front, so we had a good view of the harbour. our French waitress we very friendly and efficient. We will be back.

    A wonderful and thoroughly enjoyable evening in a stunning setting with spectacular views of Sydney especially as the sun set over the city. The oysters and mahi mahi were delicious and good value house Chardonnay (unoaked). A gem!

    Excellent everything as always. Worth the trip to Watson's Bay - by ferry is fantastic. One of our go-to venues for a special celebration. Food is not cheap but fresh and excellent quality. Service excellent from start to finish. Highly recommended.
