This was our 1st time at Draper Brothers and we were very impressed. The filter mignon was cooked perfectly to order, the roasted fingerling potatoes & broccolini were delicious and the cannolis/panna cotta were yummy! We didn’t prefer the Yukon mashed potatoes as they were extremely garlicky. The restaurant was clean and Randy went above & beyond to take care of us—-Exceptional service!!!!

Probably the best steak we've had this year! My husband got the bone in ribeye and it was sooo tender and flavorful! I got the New York Strip which was also very tender and packed with flavor. The cocktails were excellent, and my husband couldn't stop licking his lips when he was eating the lobster bisque. As promised, the bisque had big chunks of lobster and the serving was big enough 2 people could have shared it (but he didn't share it!). I can see why this steak house is becoming a Madison favorite.

To start there was a larger table of people in the middle of the dinning area. A few people at this table were extremely loud and were not once asked to please quiet down. The dinning area was not large so their voices traveled. This made it extremely difficult for me to enjoy my anniversary dinner with my wife. For as expensive as a place as it was I don’t know why they didn’t serve a bread or something to start off this fine dinning experience. It took a little while to get the bottle of wine we ordered. One of the steaks was cooked perfect the other was extremely under cooked and had to be sent back. I don’t know why a small side salad doesn’t come with the steak as well as a little bit more Demi glaze, I only had enough for half my steak. They forgot to bring a steak knife out for one of us to use so we had one for the table. The sides were supposed to be shareable sides and the sides barely fed two people, for the price should have been more. Overall the food tasted good but for a 65 dollar steak it should be great not good. We are glad we go to go out for our anniversary but our next date night we be somewhere else. Thank you!

Two large parties (both up and downstairs) made it quite loud. Very expensive for average food. Other steakhouses in the area are same or better quality with more value for money. I’d go back and try seafood. They were out of salmon at 8pm

Unfortunately, our experience at Draper Brothers in Madison, WI didn’t live up to expectations. The moment we walked in, we were hit with a strong smell of bad seafood, which was not a great first impression. I had read some mixed reviews beforehand, but it was too late to cancel our reservation. I ordered the cacio e pepe, thinking it was a safe choice—but it ended up tasting like plain noodles coated in cold butter and olive oil. The table also had meatballs, lamb, steak, ravioli, and a few desserts, but overall, we were all underwhelmed with the quality and flavor. For a party of five, our total came to over $500, and unfortunately, none of us felt the food was worth the price. The one bright spot of the evening was our server, Madison—she was friendly, attentive, and did a fantastic job despite the disappointing meal. All in all, great service but the food definitely missed the mark for us.
