Located on the main level of the newly built Muir Hotel, our salon, bar and promenade offer a simple, modern and stylish setting in which to dine, drink, linger and relax without interruption.     Close to excellent dinner option on the Halifax Waterfront. The location and decor are excellent - great views and really nice modern nautical decor. The service was excellent- friendly and welcoming. The craft cocktails were outstanding and definitely both creative and delicious. These are worth going for if you just want to get an after work drink. The food options are good, well plated, and well prepared. I had the crab and shrimp cake app - excellent, and the pork belly and scallops dinner. Unfortunately the dish came with no scallops! I asked the waiter and he kindly and quickly brought a side plate with the scallops but that kind of spoiled my experience. For dessert the apple Mille feuille is outstanding - really nicely done and flavorful. The coffee was good but only lukewarm. So - I would definitely go back and try it again - it has the potential to be outstanding but had a few misses that should be really easy to improve.

    Our first time eating at Drift was beyond our expectations. We were greeted extremely kindly and professionally (the host noted the occasion provided in our booking after politely asking how we were) and we were seated at an intimate table. There were not many other diners (less than 50% full) and the ambiance was quiet and very relaxing. Beautiful design and decor. The food was outstanding (hushpuppies, scotch egg, prime rib, and ravioli duo), and the cocktails were very tasty. Best of all, our server Angie was extremely courteous, doting and warm (she also commented kindly on the occasion). She answered my questions thoroughly. The staff are clearly very highly trained and the service level was the best we've had in over a decade of dining in Halifax. Thank you Angie!

    We went for Sunday breakfast, my husband and I. The ambiance was relaxed and the decor was cozy. We felt welcomed right away and were greeted with a friendly smile. We were offered two options for tables which was a nice touch. The menu offered a great variety of options. Our server was friendly and offered a great service. The food was very tasty and the coffee was great too. The tiny jars of preserves were delicious. Highly recommend this spot for your next outing! We will be back!

    Nathan was our server as was a 10/10. We had lots of time to talk and enjoy the ambiance. The timing of the servings were spread out perfectly. I had the Pork Belly and Scallops which was perfection and the miss’s had the Chicken. She was throughly impressed as well. We would both highly recommend Drift if you are looking for a classy and culinary experience in a welcoming and intimate venue.
