Located on Lake Wylie in the newly developed McLean South Shore, Drift on Lake Wylie is a chef-inspired lakeside chophouse. At the forefront of the Lake Wylie dining scene, our food is simple and seasonal—home to prime cuts of beef, local seafood, and homemade pasta. Whether you join us for dinner, pop by the bustling bar for a quick bite, or book one of our private dining rooms for a special dinner or cocktail party, we look forward to serving you soon.

Located 8 minutes south of Belmont off South New Hope Road and North of Lake Wylie just off Pole Branch Road.

It's time for our 4th Lobster Night, a dinner a part of our Dockside Dinner Series! Our Corporate Chef, Rogger Torres, has curated an incredible 5-course menu that we know you'll love! *The menu is priced at $100++, with all beverage sold separately. Automatic service fees and tax are separate from the menu price. Parties of 8 or more are welcome, so bring your friends and family! Reservations are required for this special event.

I didn’t have a great first food experience and decided to try the Christmas Eve menu. First, my dad loves his prime rib and cheesecake. I thought the cake was dry. We loved the tempura cauliflower! My husband and I were disappointed with the crab on the lobster tail, the texture was like play doh and didn’t taste like crab meat at all. While I’m glad I tried it again, I don’t think I’ll take the 45 min drive anymore.

We went here for Christmas Eve dinner. The place was quite predictably busy, so we'd wait a bit to be seated. Besides that everything was as expected from fine restaurant. Service was attentive and fast and meal was exceptionally good. Mightily obliged!

We could only order from the Christmas Eve Prix Fixe menu. There were good choices. I have ordered from their regular menu and prefer that option better, but for what it was, this was good.

Delicious Christmas Eve dinner. Great selection and such a reasonable price. Restaurant is upscale and right on the lake. Staff were very pleasant and efficient.

The experience at Drift was outstanding from beginning to end. The restaurant atmosphere was very nice. Our server Meagan was excellent. She was so good at directing us to menu items that we thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely recommend Drift for anyone looking for a nice fine dining experience.

Great food, nice place and exceptional service from Lyndsey. We celebrated our move down to Clover, was the perfect place to do it.

The food was delicious! The lobster risotto was amazing. My husband had the filet with lobster and he said it was cooked to perfection and the meat was so tender. Our server Hayley was so sweet.

Out with my wife, Lisa for date night. She had the stuffed flounder. I had the extra large fillet. Medium rare lightly blackened. Cooked to perfection. We also tried the marbled potatoes, which were wonderful. Very large portions. She had the shrimp cocktail and I had the lobster bisque soup. Also tried the half dozen oysters. It was very busy that night. Even the manager, Jennifer sat us down. The other manager came by to say hello as well. Ross. We bought $100 gift card and they gave us a complementary $20 meal voucher for later which was nice. And to top it all off we had an amazing waitress named Haley. We have been there before and she always remembers what drinks we want. Had them ready for us at the table. A Prosecco and a double knob Creek Rye on ice. Never had an empty glass. Overall, I can only give this a five star rating only because they don’t have six stars on the app A+ all around

Enjoyed a lovely meal after strolling through the Daniel Stowe botanical garden lights. We have started to make this our holiday date event. Our server was knowledgeable and her excellent suggestions made our experience perfect. Highly recommend!
