First, off the positives - our waiter was top notch, helpful, attentive, offered good suggestions. The food was good but not really a "wow" for such an upscale restaurant and the price. We split a nice salad, husband thought the lobster ravioli was great, I had an average pasta dish - the waiter was helpful and making sure it avoided my food allergies - greatly appreciated. This dish could have been warmer and being we were seated by a constantly opening door on a cold night, my dish got cold quick and the sauce got real thick at that point. This restaurant is literally a block from our house, so very convenient. Now a couple of things that could be improved. Everyone dining here had a reservation, no one's table was ready when they arrived (seated next to the hostess stand). Being our table had a couple just starting, they offered us the only empty table which just happened to be by a constant stream of people and a constant stream of cold air. Plus we were seated right by the hostess stand. The one hostess scrolled on her phone and another was constantly opening the door and looking outside - what was she looking for?? Maybe they didn't need three hostesses, if they had time to scroll on their phone or go in & out all the time. It was a cold table, sat with my coat wrapped around my legs, glad I wore a sweater. It was definitely not the ambience we were hoping for. By the way if you haven't tried the upstairs bar - it is great. Being it is close, we will be back on a week day night, not on a holiday.
