I’ve wanted to visit this restaurant for a long time because I have heard such great things about it. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met. The staff was attentive, and very friendly. The look of the restaurant is very unique and relaxed. We decided to order the charcuterie and Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were SO good, and the charcuterie was good but it came without any bread. On the menu it said it was to be served with crostini and for $21 we had hoped this was the case. We weren’t able to finish it bc most of the charcuterie was jam and mustard, requiring bread. We asked the waitress if they ran out and she said no, they must have forgot to include it. So she brought us some crostini after the fact, which was nice but would have been better if she noticed upon dropping the food off. I got the pasta for my main, and my fiancé got the pork. The pasta was good, spicy as advertised, but nothing wow’ed me. My fiancé’s pork was good for the first 1/2, then it was completely raw. He said he was so hungry that he thinks he ate the raw part. We showed the waitress and she made a face then took the plate to the chef. She came back and said no that was undercooked and I’ll be taking care of it for you. The issue was my fiancé was still hungry, so I offered him my pasta, which he didn’t want. While it was a very nice gesture to not make us pay for the pork, we wondered how it got passed the chef in the first place? I had a bite of the pork when he first got it and it was completely cooked, and so good on one end. Could be how they’re cooking it?
We got a dessert after our meals, a flourless chocolate cake- very good! The very nice waitress took care of the pork, the two glasses of wine, and our dessert. I don’t think this experience was the normal for the restaurant and possibly they have new staff cooking? Because they were nice enough to cover some items on our bill, I’ll give it some time and return again in the future for hopefully a better dinner.
