El Capo is a tequila bar in the heart of the Northern Quarter, whilst also serving up some of your favourite Mexican inspired dishes, including burritos, tacos and wings!

Our ground floor tequila bar set is perfect for food and drinks, or you can escape to the basement for a more intimate restaurant experience, which is also available for larger bookings and exclusive private hire!

You can make the most of our daily deals, such as Tacos for Days running every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, Tequila Thursdays and of course our Sunday Service.

Our tequila and mezcal selection is second to none, with over 70 bottles behind the bar, you're sure to find your favourite agave-based shot.

Please note, that unfortunately due to the size and capacity of our kitchen and storage areas, we are unable to cater any food or drinks items to guests with allergies or intolerances.

The wrong choice. Was looking for some great Mexican food. This is more like a bar. Food was very very average. Greasy Toilets were beyond filthy. Very dark and very loud. Ordered a frozen margarita very average. Service was ok but could tell that the waiting staff were under pressure. Over all not impressed. May be better later into the evening.

Came for bottomless brunch 1:30-3pm, Nadia came on shift around 2pm and from there our service was 10/10! Food was amazing as always, toilets were extremely dark this time though?

Food was amazing. Staff apologised for slow service but we didn’t think it was slow to be honest! The atmosphere is great and i recommend this place to anybody who will listen

We enjoyed our food & will go back. The cocktails were nice too! The service was great & we did not wait long. We were able to have the table for two hours as we were celebrating a birthday.

We came for bottomless brunch, had to go up twice for them to take drink orders so in 40 minutes we only had 2 drinks. They brought the wrong food order out and we had to wait another 15 minutes for the food. There was some food lying around at the top of the stairs and when we had to collar a staff member to see where the food was they magically disappeared and came back up ten seconds later. I did ask if it was the food that was sat up for ten minutes they said no but the food was pretty cold. After this the service improved they did apologise and started bringing two drinks instead of one, which in all fairness in the 90 minutes we would have only had 3 drinks if we hadn’t actually got up to the bar. The let us stay longer with no additional charge, this was nice however I definitely wouldn’t be recommending. I felt as if we were just bothering them and it made for a really uncomfortable experience.
