I am conflicted leaving this review because there were aspects of the evening that were incredible, but others that were the opposite. To start, I made this reservation months in advance for a party of two at 5pm. We arrived early with the thought we would get seated at the time we reserved, boy were we wrong. To kill some time, we had a (very expensive) drink at the hotel entrance. While I understand this hotel caters to those who don't have to worry about money, $70 for two vodka sprites was not justified. When we were finally taken to the restaurant, we had to wait some more- which resulted in us ordering another round of drinks. About 30-40 minutes after our originally reserved time, we were finally seated. Gorgeous, I mean absolutely gorgeous views and ambiance. The experience of being there made the wait time seem worth it. From there, the service was top notch. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. We made our dinner choices and were told this would be a four-course meal, which justified the prices of the entrees. I chose the surf and turf while my boyfriend went with the 12oz filet. We had a lobster bisque to start, which was fairly good. 3 different smaller appetizers followed, which I enjoyed them all. Then came the main course. While the shrimp were in fact jumbo, they were a bit dry and lacked flavor. The filet was cooked how I asked, but it was nothing special. The highlight for me was the chocolate mousse that was their dessert option. Overall, $600 later (which included a 15% Service Fee??), we agreed we considered it worth it based off the whole experience, but I would hesitate to recommend this place for the food. If you have money burning a hole in your pocket, I say check it out for yourself. If not, I think your money is best spent elsewhere.
