El Galleon is an American fine dining spot on Catalina Island that offers delicious steaks, lobsters, and more in a casual setting that is perfect for lunch or a nice dinner out. This location frequently hosts special events, and always has great deals on mixed drinks at the bar for happy hour.

El Galleon's menu starts with appetizers like grilled artichoke or scallop chowder. Guests can try the local favorite luau pork barbecue ribs, served with onion rings, or go for a delicious meal of lobster, king crab, rib eye or prime rib. The sunset menu at El Galleon is a prix fixe menu that includes all the local favorites with delicious sides, freshly baked bread and an ice cream sundae.

The chowder was very good and it was a big serving. Mike ordered the bison and pulled pork sandwich. It was good but the bbq sauce overwhelmed the taste of the bison so he wasn’t sure how the bison actually tasted. Our server was very good and attentive. One thing to note is when you ask for water, you will get a bottle of water for $1.50. The Island is doing a great job on conserving water

Your typical tourist trap restaurant. Food was ok, but expensive. The worst part of this experience was how they charged us for water without informing us. Upon getting seated, we are offered water - your standard restaurant task. However, It was $1.50/water. Ridiculous! We asked the waiter why we were charged for regular water and his excuse is "water isn't safe to drink on Catalina so you have to get bottled water." Dishonesty and thievery. Do not recommend this place

I had the prime rib and my husband had the half rack of ribs. Both meals looked and tasted very good. This was our first time eating at this restaurant and we will definitely eat here again.
