Executive Chef Scott Anderson chose the name "elements" for the restaurant because he is passionate about sourcing fresh, local, organic ingredients and sustainably raised meats and seafood. He wants the very elements of your meal to play a major role in the taste of it. Then he and his team work to reveal the complementary flavor dimensions inherent in the elements by skillfully combining them—often in edgy new ways. Restaurant menus change constantly here, making this the dinner restaurant that is excitingly different every time you return.

If you're a foodie, you want to know where—and how--your food grew. It's fascinating, it's a good health practice and it provides extra pleasure from everyday experiences, like a meal with friends. elements is the American restaurant serving local steak and seafood, but with global influences in seasoning and cooking methods. A true culinary adventure!

        The seafood selection was better prepared compared to the red meat one. Lamb had no natural flavor at all and the ribeye had a strong smoke flavor and someone had to look with microscope to find the meat itself - too much fat. Effort in presentation is always excellent!

        Food was interesting and very good. I think the interior and no table cloth was as bland as it could get. I wish the overall experience would have reflected it was New Year Eve and made it more special but it was not worth the cost this time.

        Elements is easily the most unique dining experience in Princeton, maybe in all of Central Jersey. The experience we had wasn't just in what they served, which was an 8 course meal of various seafood and meat dishes (including dessert) all exquisitely prepared and delicious, but in that it was served over a 4-hour period, so diners basically have their table for the night, with no rush. We went on New Year's Eve, so it actually worked perfectly, leaving just in time to be home by midnight, but you need to be in the mood for this type of experience. The waitstaff was excellent, very attentive and informative, presenting each creative dish with the correct accoutrement. The chef also allows substitutions, if you or someone in your party can't eat one of the prix fixe items. This all comes with a hefty price tag, but it's worth treating yourself for a special occasion. My only critique was that the brightness of the dining room did nothing to set the mood and although I enjoyed being able to see my menu, the ambiance would be a bit more magical if they turned the lights down.

        Everything was amazing the food and the service. The only thing is there was a couple next to us with a small child and the child was watching cartoons on their phone. At a place like this, I would never ever expect something like that.

        We purchased a Thanksgiving dinner to go. Worst Thanksgiving meal I've ever had. I had asked that no extra black or white pepper be added to our food. OM G! SOOOO spicy! Even mashed potatoes had big black dots in it (pepper, duh). Maybe it was marjoram or SOMETHING but we threw most of it out. I can only imagine what the regular menu must tase like.

        Went for my son’s birthday. The food was very ok for the price. Nothing special at all. Ordered for one vegetarian and two non vegetarian experiences. None of the dishes tasted exquisite. Considering what we paid for the experience we were expecting far better tasting food. We did not finish our food in some of the 5 course meals but were never asked whether we liked it or not. Surprising ..!
