Our most recent visit to the Eleven brunch was disappointing. We first experienced the brunch Dec 2023. Back then it was amazing. Every dish was carefully curated and it did not feel like a buffet, or mass produced. The service was always fantastic and the meal would finish with a rotating plate of delectable desserts. We frequented this brunch every 2 months and enjoyed the changing menu.
We were thrilled that this brunch was becoming more popular, but maybe it was a victim of its own success? Over the last 6 months, we have noticed a decline in quality. At first we thought that it was maybe an off day, but the last 3 visits have been very disappointing. They were slammed over the Valentines weekend so we gave them a pass. The food would take a long time to be refilled and empty pans would greet us when we lifted the covers. Our water glasses were never refilled unless we flagged down one of the wait staff. Our last visit on April 6, 2025 was the most disappointing. The food was subpar at best. The rosemary and parmesan scones were dry and hard. We took one bite and didn’t finish. The wheat berry and chickpea salad was bland and in great need of seasoning. The harvest salad and tropical fruit medley only had kiwi, pineapple, strawberries and blueberries. The roasted asparagus was overly smoky. The kimchee hash browns had good flavor, but unfortunately steamed and soggy from being covered. The crusts on the french toast were so hard, we could only eat the inner portion. The pork loin and miso salmon were both cooked to death and bone dry. AWFUL. The pasta e Fagioli was so salty it was almost inedible. The roasted strip loin was on the rare side, but preferable to being hammered. After less than an hour, the waiter asked us if we were done and we had to ask about dessert. He almost rolled his eyes before bringing them to us. Those were good.
It was unpleasant and we probably won’t return as the quality and care is no longer there. It is sad to see such a decline.
