Benvenuti Nella Mia Cucina, Belli De Nonna! Before we dive into the delicious feast prepared for you, let me give you a little taste of my vita. I was born in the heart of Rome, and I've been cooking up a storm my entire life! My cucina has always been the center of the universe for my 3 daughters, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, their friends, loved ones, and acquaintances – everyone was always Benvenuto!

Now, we've brought that same love and flavor right here to San Diego. My beloved grandson, Niccolo', and his amore, Cesarina, are opening the doors of my Cucina with the same warm heart and passion.

Wondering how I made it to 95? Well, it's simple: I ate everything that's served here and filled my life with amore! So, Benvenuti! Don't hesitate to indulge in "Scarpetta" - dip that bread into the sauce, just like my grandchildren used to do at the stove when they thought I wasn't looking.

Here, Belli De Nonna, it’s all about food, family, and creating beautiful memories!

Love the ambience, service and food and wine! The food that was good when first opened has gotten better! Thoroughly enjoyable as we ate salad, polpette, pizza, chicken, lamb and pasta carbonara. The Italian red wine was perfect for us. Thanks and see you again to the team at Elvira including Nick and Andrea and the rest of the team who was awesome:)

I visited Elvira for the first time for a birthday celebration with friends and I had an AMAZING time! The staff is superb! Not only are they knowledgeable about the menu and offer recommendations based on your palate, they also are able to provide modifications to any meal that might not ordinarily suit your tastes. I'm a bit of a picky eater, but the staff was very considerate in accommodating me where possible, which I greatly appreciated. The full bar and artisan drinks were a great complement to our appetizers (parmigiana sticks di nonna and salad) and pasta, but we also tried the carbonara pizza, which was mouth watering. I can't wait to go back and explore other items on the menu!

Great new brunch menu. Yummy. Our bartender/server Eric was very knowledgeable and helpful explaining the menu.

I sat at the bar and enjoyed a red sauce pasta ! I am vegan and the pasta was amazinggggg. I got a soda and started with a vegan focaccia bread the server had made for me!

As always it was a pleasure to eat at Nonnas🫶🏻 I always know I can bring my guests and visitors here and Elvira will always deliver a pleasant experience to them with their lovely ambiance, friendly staff, and delicious food !

We were a party of 5 seated on time for our reservation. We saw our server 15-20 minutes after being seated. Ordered drinks/apps. Apps came in 10 minutes and drinks 20 minutes after ordering. Food was good but the overall waiting to start soured the experience.

Another fantastic meal at Elvira. Fantastic eggplant appetizer, tasty radicchio salad and exceptional pasta that was formerly a special and is now on the regular menu.
