Benvenuti Nella Mia Cucina, Belli De Nonna! Before we dive into the delicious feast prepared for you, let me give you a little taste of my vita. I was born in the heart of Rome, and I've been cooking up a storm my entire life! My cucina has always been the center of the universe for my 3 daughters, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, their friends, loved ones, and acquaintances – everyone was always Benvenuto!

Now, we've brought that same love and flavor right here to San Diego. My beloved grandson, Niccolo', and his amore, Cesarina, are opening the doors of my Cucina with the same warm heart and passion.

Wondering how I made it to 95? Well, it's simple: I ate everything that's served here and filled my life with amore! So, Benvenuti! Don't hesitate to indulge in "Scarpetta" - dip that bread into the sauce, just like my grandchildren used to do at the stove when they thought I wasn't looking.

Here, Belli De Nonna, it’s all about food, family, and creating beautiful memories!

1000/10. pizza is great - crispy undercarriage and amazing flavor. gnocchi was great too. service was incredible, really knowledgeable servers who can help guide you on the food and drink menu. they went above and beyond. the vibe is so cozy and authentic. love this place

Great place in tradition of Cesarina ,portions exc for salads very nice .great shared dessert cake .Wines are pricey even by carafe .Overall very nice dinner experience for 4X

Service was excellent! Food was good, even though we all thought the menu was confusing. Everyone at the table got something different and we all tried eachothers and we all loved everything

Our first experience at Elvira was lovely. My sister and I shared two types of pasta, one with Carbonara sauce, which was divine. The other dish made with bucatini was equally wonderful. Our server was very attentive and made suggestions for appetizers and dessert - caramel custard was our choice. The tables in the patio had heaters, a fireplace and blankets if needed. We were very cozy and warm. I was glad we made reservations as most tables were full on a Sunday night. I highly recommend Elvira for authentic Italian food and great service.

Two of the best restaurants in San Diego (if not THE two best) are Cesarina and Elvira. Given their differing menus it's becoming almost impossible to say which one is better. The service and ambiance of Elvira are exceptional. The food at Elvira is as good as it gets. We shared the meatballs appetizer and then the Diavola pizza and bucatini pasta and all three (and the Sangiovese) were spectacular. Absolutely, positively do yourself a favor and go to Elvira.

My recent experience at Elvira was nothing short of incredible — a complete redemption from my last visit! From the moment I walked in, the warm, inviting ambiance set the perfect tone for the evening. The restaurant felt lively yet intimate, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience. This time, the food exceeded all expectations. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. It was clear the kitchen put extra care into every plate. Whatever went wrong before was completely forgotten after this visit. The service was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. It’s rare to see a place bounce back so well, but Elvira truly delivered and turned a past disappointment into an unforgettable night. Can’t wait to return! 🍷✨
