Welcome to Ember!

Ember is a locally owned high energy eatery located at 70 retreat village on saint simons island. the menu is written daily. ingredients are sourced from local farmers and fishermen, inspired by wood-fired cooking, and influenced globally via france, italy, to asia and more along with the southeastern united states. the craft beverage program features unique wines, innovative southern brews, and cocktails made with premium spirits, house infused spirits, and the freshest of ingredients. all of this is served in a fun and contemporary atmosphere at achievable prices. dress is smart casual. georgia trend magazine silver spoon award ..."fun, yet ambitious contemporary." enjoy live music every weekend at our Mas lounge where our full dinner menu is available.

    very unique place from a menu perspective and the counter is very unique. I did like my 'pizza' but would suggest they add a few more non pizza items or specials to the menu. My other suggestion would be to have the staff talk to customers more than each other.

    Great food. Casual place. Server very friendly. Most important they are open on Sunday night on SSI - not many options for Sunday night on SSI as many places are closed.

    The food and service was good. My big complaint is that they charge a fee to use your credit card to pay. If you’re going to charge $40 and more for an entree- don’t insult me by charging a fee to use a credit card. Add on another $1 to the entrees and call it a day. Many places don’t even accept cash so cc use is what you have to do-

    You can always expect the best from Ember. From the service, drinks, food and atmosphere. You can’t beat the early bird tapas when you sit at the beautiful lit bar. Our favorites are the Grilled Caesar salad and Brie. The dinner menu has so many choices. The Margarita Pizza is the best and cooked right in front of you. You won’t be disappointed at Ember ..

    Our family dined here for a special occasion and I was looking forward to a fantastic meal. Unfortunately, I felt like the food was extremely mediocre and poorly seasoned. I don't think thr sauce in the description was put on my plate. I am pretty sure the roasted potatoes were just boiled and barely salted. The quality sadly did not justify the price point of the entrees. It is annoying to pay 50 dollars for an entree and the entire table isn't served at the same time. Our waiter left me in mid conversation to check on another table. Apparently, they had waived him down. Overall I found the experience unsatisfactory. I was expecting very good and was really disappointed. I would pick another restaurant if I could have a do over.

    The pizza is amazing! The wood fire oven pizza is delicious! The Brussels and the Mac n cheese are also personal favorites.

    We had 2 new flatbreads, great flavor but a tad too browned. Grilled romaine salad always delicious. Excellent innovative cocktails, in particular the Gin Gimlet.

    Pros: very clean and comfortable. Good location. Cons: Room on 1st floor near elevator. Room soundproofing terrible. Woman screaming in hallway in middle of night.
