Created Tom Hill and Clare Lattin of Ducksoup in Soho and Little Duck in Hackney, Emilia is their version of a small Italian Osteria (transported to the Devonshire countryside) serving seasonal, everyday Italian inspired dishes using locally grown ingredients. Tom oversees the menu and together they cook and share a love for Italian food and natural wine. The dining room is hosted by Lucy Mastroddi and Paul Seckler along with Alice Phillips.

    If ever you're in Ashburton, Emilia really is the place to dine. My Fiancée and I had an incredible time watching the dishes be prepared by Danny and George - flawless from start to finish. Every single plate was a delight to eat - will be coming back 100%, even for years to come!

    Everything was delicious, exciting combinations of ingredients. The fluffy Gorgonzola went so well with rhubarb, and the Lambs’ hearts, and duck ragu on pasta were so satisfying to eat. Unfussy, flavourful food and wine. Great service. Wish we could come every week.

    Our First time and it won’t be our last. Space is tight but on this occasion it added to the buzz. It was a bonus to be sitting at the kitchen counter seats and see the team work and mastery in such a limited food prep area. It was a master class. A lovely fun lunch and we’ll just ensure we’ve built up a good appetite next time!

    Nice food , good service, unique experience however please do something about extraction of food smells from the open plan kitchen, at times our eyes were streaming and spent the next day washing our clothes, sorry but very off putting for a return visit.

    An exeptional level of experiental dining. With decor and ambience to match anything of small-town Italy and a quality of food you don’t often find anywhere. I am stunned that a place this good, on all fronts, is tucked away in a town on the edge of a Dartmoor. I cannot wait to go back.
