A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich).

Please note, there will be a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes for guests so we can fairly utilize our limited capacity. Our outdoor dining is enclosed with heaters that will keep you toasty! Thank you :)

We had a lot of fun. We split the hamburger (the best!!!) and a pizza. Hit the spot for a late Sunday lunch. I've been to Emily several times and will go back again.

What an amazing family dinner! We went because I’m an armcherry fan and Dax and Monica did us right! My 19 and 20 year olds enjoyed their EMMY burger and the chicken parm sandwich was a great alternate for people that don’t eat red meat. The vibe was on point and we were cozy as we enjoyed our first NYC family dinner together. The management was very friendly and super friendly and attentive. Oh the cheesy breadsticks were superb! Just go!

I’ve been gluten free for 15 years and when I had this pizza it was like angels singing all around me (ok, it happens to be Christmas time : ) This is fantastic crispy pizza with glorious toppings and my new fav place!

We were visiting from out of town and this place came highly recommended. We got the burger and vodka pizza. Both were out of this world! I also had a really great cocktail that had ginger beer. Definitely a good value.

What sold me on the place was the food menu and pics. I'm so glad that I was able to try it for myself and enjoy it along with my colleagues. So much great options to choose from the menu. Highly recommend it and will definitely go back and recommend my guest when they inquire for a place to dine at downtown.

Food was great. Made the mistake to not look further into the restaurant, it is definitely a place intended to go with a group as the portions are a healthy size so I took plenty home (which is a good thing). Great service, everyone is nice. The basement was nice and can foresee myself returning with at least another person.

Get an afternoon reservation. Get the burger. That simple. Delicious. Would and probably will come back if I’m in New York and this is in the line of the things I’m going to see that day.
