Epic has an amazing setting, the views of the Bay Bridge and really nicely set up inside too.
But our food and service left a lot to be desired. Our first server took a good 8 minutes after we were seated to even come and greet us. The Salad w ordered was very ordinary but the Poke was really good. For Main course, we ordered the Lamb chops, that my husband though were one of the best. But... I ordered the 8oz A5 Wagyu. nd when it was served, it was room temperature. I took a bite and asked if they could do something to fix this. It is not just about the money, but it the most expensive dish on their menu and if I am paying $200 for a single dish, I am hoping that it is served really well. They took it back, put it under a warming lamp I think for a minute and brought it back. At room temperature. At that time I finally said, I think I'd like to change my order to a Filet. The waiter seemed very reluctant and asked if he could warm it up again.
It was our anniversary and I did not want to eat a dinner that I felt bad about later, s I nicely requested again that they change my order. The waiter finally said OK, but after that, we basically had a very sullen server. He came once again to serve the steak and then even though our dinners were done, we didn't see him till we called to him and asked for a dessert menu. And then the bill.
Not a good experience.
