Nestled between East Austin neighborhoods, Este celebrates fresh seafood, Mexican cuisine, and charcoal cooking. From the team behind the East 6th favorite, Suerte, Chef Fermin and restaurateur Sam Hellman-Mass are taking their love for masa coastal.

In a location with a rich history, Este’s bright dining spaces, artisan decor and spacious outdoor deck bring the energy of seaside towns to East Austin. An extensive wine list and vibrant coastal-inspired cocktails are the perfect pairing for aguachiles, ceviches, oysters y otros mariscos!

OpenTable美食編輯： From 2024 James Beard semifinalist and acclaimed Suerte chef Fermín Núñez, this chill seafood spot is all about mariscos—think shrimp aguachiles, tuna tiradito, and oysters splashed with salsa negra. The light and airy space features white rafters and hanging plants, and happy hour spills out onto a big back deck. All of it landed Este on Bon Appétit and Esquire’s best new restaurant lists in 2023.

    Our last and most memorable meal of the year! From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the kind and beautiful ladies at the host stand. The staff had been made aware that we were celebrating a big anniversary and many offered their heartfelt well wishes for the occasion, the whole evening felt like a celebration of love! Our server, Luke, took was caring and patient as he accommodated our various dietary restrictions and needs. Luke shared vivid, mouthwatering descriptions of the dishes and drinks we were about to enjoy, and, of course, the dishes themselves were almost too beautiful to eat — there is a team of masterful artists working in that kitchen! The crisp night air and warm ambiance of the patio enveloped us, and we were charmed by the sweet anecdotes shared by staff members throughout the evening, as well as the jubilant sounds of laughter and merriment from fellow diners. It felt nothing like the usual transaction of eating out — it felt like being lovingly fed by a dear friend in their own house. Emilio the manager went above and beyond at the end of the evening by playing our song for the whole house to hear. We left nourished, feeling cherished and gay as we strolled through the moonless garden fragrant with the fresh blooms of zinnias, passionflower and cosmos. Yes, we drank and dined and enjoyed with all of our senses, and are still reveling in the joy from an evening where we more than just fed, we were cared for. Thank you, Este.

    Fabulous menu. We enjoyed sharing a number of different selections from the menu. All were terrific. Our waiter steered us well. Estes was recommended by a friend who lives in Austin. It did not disappoint!

    All the food is fairly priced; given the higher quality of some of the ingredients it does swing toward the pricier side. The beef tacos were the best I’ve ever had. Service was impeccable—warm and informed without being overbearing. Don’t sleep on the desserts, especially the carrot cake. Can’t wait to return

    Simply amazing food and service. Cachetada tacos are the best, not above chocolate cake dessert. Love this place!!!
