From Chef Srijith Gopinathan and restaurateur Ayesha Thapar, the creators of Ettan, Copra and Little Blue Door, Eylan offers seasonally-driven Cal-Indian cuisine centered around a wood-fired grill, with thoughtfully sourced produce and a variety of proteins cooked over the embers and served alongside clever riffs on traditional breads from different regions of India. The bar program by West-Bev and Christopher Longoria draws upon the kaleidoscope of ingredients and techniques that make up global cocktail culture, while also taking inspiration from the culinary traditions of India. Wine director Andre Sydnor's program offers depth in classic regions like Burgundy, Champagne, Piedmont, and California, offering a variety of options for casual wine lovers while including more exclusive selections for serious oenophiles.

Our parking is located beneath the restaurant in a parking garage. The entrance is located off the intersection of El Camino Real and Middle Ave. If you are going north on El Camino Real, make a right onto Middle Ave (if going south on El Camino Real, make a left) and follow the street to the right. The first downward ramp leads down to our parking garage. This will look like an entrance into the condominiums. Once you get to the bottom turn to the right and drive until you find an elevator to the right along the wall. This will lead to our lobby on the first floor.

Priced at $125 per guest, this five-course journey highlights the finest Cal-Indian seasonal ingredients, masterfully prepared to create a dining experience that is both immersive and unforgettable. Designed to ensure seamless service and an elevated atmosphere, this offering allows larger parties to fully engage with the artistry of our menu while enjoying the warm hospitality that defines our restaurant. A commitment to this tasting menu is required for groups of this size, ensuring that every guest enjoys a meticulously orchestrated experience at the highest level of our culinary vision. All children ages 5-10 years of age will be required to participate in the tasting menu at a $65/person. Children 11 years of age and older will be required to participate at the normal $125/person rate.

Great flavors and interesting food! Our table of 4 was unable to talk to each other due to the noise and techno music, and this put a damper on our experience. We were also unable to hear the descriptions of the food when it was delivered. Only underground parking was available

The food, while presented elegantly, lacked depth and flavor. Each dish felt like it was missing a vital ingredient - soul. The culinary experience was akin to eating a beautifully crafted shell with nothing meaningful inside.

We were excited to try Eylan after having amazing experiences at their sister restaurants. The restaurant is located in a nondescript office/apartment building on El Camino. You can park underneath in a garage; thankfully, there was wayfinding signage to guide you inside. The hostess seated us in the Lounge, which I did not recall booking. The lounge area is dark, has less character and looks out to a dormant patio covered with dried leaves and stored patio furniture. Seats were relatively low in terms of table height. We felt like we needed booster seats. Service was good. Our server was friendly, efficient, and articulate, but the supporting staff was difficult to understand. They spoke very low and mumbled, which was hard to discern in a lively environment. We heard very little to none about the dishes the support staff delivered. The food was excellent and lived up to Chef Srijith Gopinathan's menus at his other restaurants.

Our server, Phil, was attentive and excellent overall. We ordered tarro, mushrooms, chicken kabab, and shrimp to start; we also ordered the cod. Everything was flavorful except for the shrimp - it tasted previously frozen. We were led to believe the small plates were very "small", however, this was not the case for a party of two. We would have skipped the shrimp.

The food was delicious and inventive, but we were disappointed in the service. Had 5 o’clock reservations, were there when they opened and joined a line of six others waiting to be seated. Seated with menus by 506 and given Waters. after 20 minutes without seeing a waiter, we asked the bus boy to send a waiter who could take our cocktail order. Waiter did not show up until 538 despite mostly empty Restaurant. At that point, the waiter wanted to take our complete order and not just a cocktail order. another service issue: when we were 2/3 through the meal and the waitress stopped by our table, I ordered a second beer. It didn’t come until after we had finished our meal, plates were gone.

If you have not been to Eylan yet, go now before it gets crowded! That said, the food was delicious, the service friendly and attentive, and the ambience, comfortable and not stuffy. We had two small plates, 1 bread, 2 small entrees and 2 larger entrees. Though it seemed like a lot, we decided to try most anything that sounded good. The Hamachi was such a treat! Fresh tasting and not at all fishy. It was served with a crispy, light batter-fried herb leaf and was lighter than a potato chip. The Black Cod was light and cooked to perfection with a crisped skin and tender flakiness. The Cornish Hen was reminiscent of our favorite Indian dish, Butter Chicken, but lighter and without bones! All the dishes were made with the care and originality that we usually go to Ettan to get. We will be back again!

Excellent food and customer service. Highly recommend this place. It feels bit noisy if you are looking for quieter place. Ask for table away from center.
