If I could give zero stars I would. We made reservations for this place via OpenTable at least a month ago for Christmas Eve. While researching places for dinner around the city of Porto we quickly realized we would need to secure something well in advance so we wouldn’t be turned away as a walk in. When arriving 15 min prior to our reservation, we check in with the host and saw my name in the book for 2 people. He told us we didn’t pay so we didn’t have a table. I was so confused, I received an email from them on 12/24 at 0700 to reconfirm my reservation and I did. I was never afforded the option to prepay for something. We were sent away on Christmas Eve even with a reservation. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The guy at the door was so rude. After walking around the city and being rejected by many places because we didn’t have a reservation we ended up receiving a call from Fado No Porto and the rude man offered us a seat right in from of the singers. We declined, why give business to someone that just gave us a headache? No thank you. I do not recommend—-

The food and the fado were both outstanding. We enjoyed Katia singing and her personal interaction with the intimate dining crowd. The service was ideal as it permitted the food and entertainment to be equally enjoyable.
