I arrived to my reservation at Famous Dave's in Grand Junction, Colorado, approximately 15-20 minutes early, the restaurant only had about six tables seated at that time, two large parties and a family of about six, and several couples at several booths. The hostess sat us at a booth next to the two large parties which was loud, so we asked to be moved, and she started to make an excuse why she couldn't move us, and told us that we could wait until our reservation at 5:30 was ready, this would mean that we would have to wait 15 minutes. The hostess decided to seat us at a different booth away from the two large tables. When our waitress showed up, she made it a point to let us know that we showed up early for our reservation, but she would wait on us and take our order anyway, we were all ready to order when she showed up, because we checked the menu on Open Table prior to our arrival. We placed our order, and every time we had a request, she had an excuse why she could not provide us with butter or honey, her excuse was they were out of honey, they were running out of butter, and when we asked for a to go container, she replied they were getting short on the lids for the containers. I have to say, out of the years I have been dining out, and I also have worked in the hospitality industry for over ten years, this was a poor service, and I am sure this is not the branded experience Famous Dave's expects their customers to have when they visit Famous Dave's. Now for the food, I ordered the combo and had the Texas Beef Brisket & Georgia Pork, with beans and green salad, it was delicious, the different sauces tasted great, I also tried one of my aunts pork ribs, and I enjoyed the flavors the rib had, I would have to say I would give Famous Dave's a second chance, because I thought the food tasted good. I probably would not go back to the Grand Junction, CO location due to my experience.
