Three years ago my sister and I dreamt of owning our own cafe. Six months later we opened the door to Farmer Browns, serving lunch and brunch. We had 12 seats and a kitchen – more bedsit than bistro! We decided to make simple, delicious and quirky Irish/American inspired dishes. We only used Ireland’s artisan, free range, organic and homegrown produce to showcase how quality ingredients can make simple outstanding food. Suddenly the word got out and we realised that our little brain child was growing, we invested in a new kitchen, outside area and more seats. A year later we opened our doors for dinner, serving delicious burgers, steaks, wings, ribs and salads. In spring 2014 we added our very own vegetable garden at the front of the restaurant where we grow all of our own herbs and as much veg as we can, to keep our menu fresh and seasonal. Now we are living the dream and with a wonderful team around us we strive to provide simple and delicious food in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
